All of the staff and pupils would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Primrose who was recently elected as the MYP for the constituency of East Antrim. There was a lot of competition for this position – 16 candidates in total!
The UK Youth Parliament is made up of more than 300 young people aged between 11 and 18 years, elected as Members of Youth Parliament (MYPs) to represent the views of their peers. It provides opportunities for young people to bring about social change through meaningful representation and campaigning. MYPs hold campaigns in their constituency, attend meetings with MPs and carry out general outreach activities. Primrose will also be attending a special debate in the House of Commons in March 2025 and we wish her every success in her role.
We are so proud of her and will be pleased to support her along her journey!
