Today pupils from P5McM enjoyed a visit from Johnny from Stand By Me. He talked about the importance of water and then we had to complete an unfair quiz - which demonstrated how we should treat people fairly. Next he showed a video clip of how difficult it is to collect water if you live in Ethiopia and how dirty the water may be. We looked at how to fit a simple water filter and then discussed different ways that people use water in their homes. Finally Johnny told us about a young girl called Birhane and how it only takes 2p per day to provide her with clean water.
P5 pupils were all very interested and listened carefully. They had lots of questions to ask and Johnny very patiently answered them all! Thank you Johnny!
