To celebrate the end of our WAU topic on Egypt, P5 had an Egyptian day in school. We were kept busy making tiger nut balls, creating cartouches out of clay and then painting them. We wrote our name in hieroglyphics onto papyrus paper. We learnt how to play senet and even made our own senet board games. We rounded off a very busy day with a food tasting, the pitta breads and hummus were a real hit, but we weren't so sure about the figs and dates.
