Learning through play in the Nursery Unit
What a great week we had in Nursery. The children have settled so well. It’s so lovely to see them making friends and becoming familiar with the new routines.
Our library corner is a popular spot! The children love having stories read to them and are encouraged to tell each other the story by looking at the pictures.
Our home corner has been a bedroom and there has been lots of role play and a few sneaky suppers in bed!
We really enjoyed making buns at the dough table and then some real buns, at the end of the week. This provided an opportunity for us to work together, take turns and develop our language. Thank you to Joyce and the canteen staff for cooking the buns in their oven.
We also had lots of fun harvesting the vegetables that last year’s class planted.
